SUMMARY:Musicians at Work
DESCRIPTION:The Â鶹Íø Chamber Singers has been ranked among the finest choirs in California. Students in Chamber Singers maintain an intensive rehearsal and performance schedule\, perform for local\, regional\, and national conferences\, competitions\, and festival\, and tour internationally. Students in Chamber Singers benefit from working with guest artists from across the nation\, and performing advanced choral music of the highest caliber. The Â鶹Íø Concert Choir is a large auditioned ensemble with both a regional and national reputation. The choir usually consists of about 85 members. They perform classical repertoire that spans across all musical styles and time periods. Concert Choir performs regularly throughout the semester\, both on and off campus. In recent years\, they have toured during summers to the East Coast and Europe. They are also frequently invited to regional and national festivals and conferences.  The Â鶹Íø Women’s Chorale performs classical repertoire from all musical styles and genres. Women’s Chorale performs twice in the fall semester\, and once in the spring semester. In addition to the repertoire performed\, singers in this ensemble will learn the basic tools for sight singing and music literacy\, in addition to rudimentary singing technique.
